Purple kale

This is a whole bunch of purple kale sautéing in a cast iron with toasted sesame oil (Hirade Authentic).

It will cook down in volume enough to add to my soup tonight without taking up too much space.

If I added the whole bunch of fresh kale right to the soup I would have made the consistency too chunky.

But with an extra step, I added nutrients with the kale and flavor with the toasted sesame oil, without changing the consistency of the soup.

Plus, purple kale has an amazing aroma.
