About Brian

a born teacher and certified instructor in fitness training, yoga, nutrition, meditation and baseball.

Brian "Hendu", certified instructor and left handed baseball pitcher with 7 years in the Tampa Bay Rays Baseball Organization, 3 years at University of Houston, and 1 season in Caracas, Venezuela, currently plays and instructs fitness-focused men and women of all ages in the Austin area.  He has never missed significant time for an injury or surgery and attributes his success and durability to nontraditional athletic methods.

I came to fitness in my early teens through playing sports as a channel for my energy and a way to explore the body. It immediately called to me as something very sacred, yet very real and exciting.  I love playing and I experienced a highly competitive and fun baseball career.
I kept up my practice during the ten seasons of a competitive collegiate and professional baseball career.  I won many championships and I love having fun being on a team.
I love how fitness training promotes a space of peace and calm, even when the outside whirlwind is all around -- like 40,000 crazy out-of-town fans yelling at you in South America.
Since hanging up the spikes and moving to Austin full-time, I have found a wonderful array of places, studios and teachers to facilitate training my mind and body while enjoying myself.

I give credit and endless thanks to my current and former teachers including Tolo Perry, Osho, Iyengar, Sumukhi, Neil Allen, Sparky Lyle, Marty DeMerritt, Matt Aversa, and Todd Whitting and Coach Dr. Bragg Stockton.

"Expect calm, peaceful, and challenging personal focused instruction" ~ Brian
